Starting from the Charleville Showground on the Saturday afternoon after a pre ride talk at 3.00 pm we will be having a 10 klm ride suited to younger children including those on leadline (please BYO drink and snack plus lead rope and headstall for securing horses during the break) and returning in time to get ponies back home if needed and your return for the evening BBQ (charge for BBQ applies) and entertainment with a bush poet around the campfire (please bring your own chairs). Early Sunday morning (6.30-7.00am) after a pre ride talk we will be going on another ride suited to more experienced juniors and adults. This ride will be around 25klm- 30klm and river permitting will include several crossings around the area. You are asked to BYO drink and smoko as well as a headstall and lead rope for your horse to secure them during the break. On return to the showgrounds we will be having a brunch sausage sizzle ($5). We will have some drinks available to buy. Fees: ATHRA and WARREGO TRAIL HORSE RIDERS members will only be charged for dinner Saturday night and Sunday sausage sizzle and will ride free of charge ATHRA members from other clubs will be charged for Saturday night dinner/Sunday sausage sizzle and a riding fee of $5.00 per rider. Other riders will be charged for dinner Saturday night/ Sunday sausage sizzle and will be charged $30 per rider ($20 of which goes to ATHRA to cover insurance or if they would like to become members of Warrego Trail Riders @ $10.00 PA they will only pay $25 per rider. Any non riding locals who would like to join us for Saturday nights dinner and entertainment there will be a charge for dinner but please bring along your own chair.
