    Following our monthly meeting last night (Tuesday pm 1/9/09) the Committee has decided to hold an additional ride at South Maroota on Sunday 13/9/09 for those members would like to do a bit of hill work with their horses. NB: This is NOT a suitable ride for beginners! (This ride should be of interest to those members who are planning to go on the MS Horseride @ Cassilis 19-26/9/2009).

    This ride will be held at Paulls Road, Maroota. The ride length will be approximately 12-14km along a fire trail which winds its way down to the valley floor, and then winds its way up and onto an adjoining ridge, following along until a designated turn-around point. We will be having morning tea at the turn-around point, and are hoping to have some ground support with water for the horses and refreshments for the riders at this point. Anyone not riding and at a loose end and would like to help with manning the morning tea break, please contact Marcia on 0425 887 550. Your help would be gratefully appreciated!!!

    Please note that the fire trail is good under foot, however we encourage horses to be either shod or wear boots. Please also note that we envisage this ride will be generally a paced TROTTING RIDE.
