Toolondo Reservoir is an off-stream reservoir that is supplied from a very small catchment of its own via Mt Talbot Creek. Toolondo Reservoir also stores a large quantity of inaccessible water known as ‘dead water’. Its purpose, post construction of the Wimmera Mallee Pipeline, is for water supply via Taylors Lake. The lake is renowned as a trout fishing venue and is also popular with swimmers and water skiers. There is a private caravan park at this lake. Toilet facilities are available.
