OCTOBER RIDE OUT - Humbug Scrub - Sunday 15 October 2017

Ride Description - The ride will be on undulating forest tracks, with a short stretch of gravel road. There will be a couple of small creek crossings & horse stalls to go over (5x). The ride will trot at some point & the opportunity for the group to separate for some to go off to a different track for a canter. The ride will need to stop ~2/3 off the way & disinfect horse’s hooves – so extra hygiene kits would be great.

It is a pretty ride with lots of flowers, kangaroos & maybe deer also. The ride will take ~2 ½ -3 hours. A sausage sizzle will be provided after the ride, so please stay & enjoy. Any queries please give Kath a call.

Directions – The ride starts at Kath & John place “Rock Ridge”, 186 Karwin Rd, Humbug Scrub. Karwin Rd is on the left 4 kms (heading toward Kersbrook) from the One Tree Hill-Kersbrook round-about. Follow Karwin Rd (stay left) to the end (~500m of bitumen & 1400m of dirt). Turn right at the dead end, follow the drive ~800m to the stables – look out for the parking attendant as it may be a tight squeeze (depending on the weather).

Cost: ATHRA member $2 Ride fee. Non ATHRA member riding visitor fee $45/day (please be advised that if you are not a member of ATHRA you will need to be sponsored by an ATHRA member to ride & pre-register as a day member with ATHRA online).
