  • History

The Toowoomba Trail Ride Club Inc was formed in 2002 by a group of like minded individuals. In the first instance the club was formed to be the host club of a major equine event held annually, the clubs main role was to host a charity ride in aid of the Riding for Disabled. The success of these rides is still talked about today. From this auspicious start the Toowoomba Trail Ride Club fondly known as the TTRC has gone from strength to strength. The club has a solid membership of all ages and abilities. The TTRC prides itself on its family values and welcomes all without prejudice. The TTRC conducts monthly trail rides with an open invitation to all members and potential members to come and join in the fun. These days also include the invitation for non-riding members and friends to join us for eats somewhere along the trail. The TTRC is well known as a keen community supporter benefiting the Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland, Riding for Disabled and other beneficiaries when called upon. As a result of this association the RASQ Show Committee in 2003 asked the TTRC to form a group of riders called "The Outback Riders".
